SCRANTON, PA — Montgomery’s Alfred Hamilton III was among Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine’s Class of 2022 who received medical degrees during launch ceremonies held on Sunday, May 15.
Julie Byerley, MD, MPH, President and Dean of Geisinger Commonwealth, welcomed guests and alumni. Greetings were offered on behalf of the school board by Board Chair Virginia McGregor and Geisinger CEO Jaewon Ryu, MD
William Jeffries, Ph.D., Vice President for Academic Affairs and Vice Dean of Medical Education, along with Dr. Byerley, presented keynote speaker Susan Skochelak, MD with an Honorary Doctorate of Medical Arts . Recently retired, Dr. Susan Skochelak served as Director of Studies and Group Vice President for Medical Education at the American Medical Association (AMA).
