Binh worries about Morgan’s family and student loans in exclusive preview
Married at first sight The Binh star isn’t sure he and Morgan are a good match after learning more about his new wife’s family and finances. In an exclusive PopCulture.com preview of Wednesday’s all-new episode of Lifetime, Binh asks for “clarity” with his new wife’s situation, but Morgan feels judged.
“I just needed a little more clarity with family matters, because going into that…you see how close I was to my family. It’s like an important aspect of everything. process,” he told her. “Like I wanted to bring someone into my family who could just come in and vibe with them and also had a great relationship with their family.”
When a person’s relationship with their family is not so “strong”, it is a “question mark” for Binh. Another red flag is Morgan’s student debt, especially as she plans to go to nurse practitioner school. “I’m trying to build financial freedom right now, and I don’t know how that lines up with everything,” he told Morgan. Shocked by her husband’s worries, Morgan says it seems Binh is “very closed off” to understanding her situation.
“It seems like you’re very like, ‘She has [a] student loan, it’s awful, “you know, and I need you to understand that and trust me when I say I’m going to pay it back and it’s not going to be something that’s going to weigh us down,” he she says . “I will never ask you to give me a dime. I don’t want your money. I don’t want it. I don’t want your investments.”
Assuring Binh that she would never tell him how to spend his money or invest it, she asks for understanding and patience when it comes to his own finances. “I need you to be patient with this because I’m not at the point in my life where I’m exactly where you are,” Morgan continues. “And I need you to look at this and see that I’m not in the same place as you.”
Binh doesn’t think it was shut down at all. “I was super, super open, I wanted this, I even read books, and I was 100% honest from the start with who I was, what I was doing, what I wanted, what I needed,” he told Morgan before stopping. In response, she wonders, “Do you feel like we’re not a good match?” as the preview comes to an end. Can Morgan and Binh make things work?
