Boxers compete on day one of NWC Championships

TACOMA, Wash. – The University of the Pacific track team competed in day one of the NWC Championships hosted by the University of Puget Sound. On the first day of the event, there were twelve preliminary heats and twelve final heats.

Finals

  • 10,000 meters women
    • Kara Putnam, second place, 38:00.18
    • Abby Klein, fourth place, 40:00.97

  • 10,000 meters men
    • Erik Maack, third place, 31:48.84

  • men’s hammer throw
    • Andrew Reid, seventh, 43.92m

  • Women’s shot put
    • Savannah Ashbaugh, fifth place, 11.19m

  • Men’s shot put
    • Andrew Reid, third, 14.22m

  • Women’s 3000m steeplechase
    • Madelyn Hubbs, Northwest Champion11:37.98

  • 3000m steeplechase men
    • Will Neal, eighth place, 9:51.41

Preliminaries (Final Qualifications)

  • Women’s 100 meter hurdles
  • 400 meters women
    • Angelica Gatica Gomez, second place, 58.57

  • 100 meters men
    • Romel Moreland, seventh place, 11.11

  • 800 meters men
    • Garrett Stewart, eighth place, 1:57.29

  • 400 meters hurdles women
  • 400 meters hurdles men
    • Baily Yee, eighth place, 1:01.58

  • 200 meters men
    • Zion Booker, eighth place, 22.93

  • 1500 meters men
    • Riley Stewart, eighth place, 4:06.95

The event will end on Saturday, April 23rd at the University of Puget Sound.
