Dollywood Parks & Resorts Announces Plans to Cover Employee Tuition Fees – Singing News Magazine
Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (February 9, 2022)
Dollywood Parks and Resorts announced that it will cover 100% of tuition, fees and books for any employee who chooses to continue their education.
The significant investment in employee training will be made through GROW U from Herschend.a new program, led by Herschend Companies, Dolly Partonoperational partner of Dollywood. The program exponentially makes it easier for employees – or hosts as they are called at Dollywood – at all levels to pursue their personal and professional dreams through education. The program officially launches on February 24 for all seasonal, part-time and full-time employees of Dollywood Parks & Resorts. Hosts can enroll in the program on their first day of employment.
“Our goal at Dollywood Parks and Resorts is to provide the best possible experience for both our customers and our guests,” said Eugene Naughton, president of the Dollywood company. “We know that when our hosts are happy and feel cared for, they’ll pass that on to our guests. The creation of the program gives us another avenue to take care of our guests.
“One of the key principles of the Dollywood Foundation is to ‘know more’. This program is created with this very principle in mind. We want our guests to grow through advanced learning to fulfill the other foundation principles: Care More, Dream More, and Be More. When our hosts strive to grow, it makes our business and our community a truly better place. We care about the development of our guests and want their future to develop through love, not loans.
“Herschend’s GROW U. is not only a significant and transformational investment in the growth of our people, but also our culture of love in action,” said Andrew Wexler, CEO of Herschend Enterprises. “Herschend is rooted in love – it’s evident in every Herschend property, every day – in the way we treat and support each other, how we create memories worth repeating for guests and, most importantly again, how we take care of our employees.”
Herschend’s GROW U. offers eligible seasonal, part-time, and full-time hosts more than 100 fully-funded (100% free) degree, diploma, and certificate programs through 30 learning partners, including programs in high-demand areas such as business administration and leadership, culinary, finance, technology and marketing. Additionally, the company will provide partial funding, up to $5,250/year, for an additional 150 programs in areas such as hospitality, engineering, human resources and artistic design.
guild education, the nation’s leading education and development platform, powers the program. Guild was selected because of its strong reputation for connecting high-value employers and training providers to create opportunities for the American workforce. Dollywood Parks & Resorts guests will have access to Guild’s exclusive Learning Marketplace to select from over 30 learning providers and utilize resources such as professional coaches to support their educational journey.
