Man Sentenced to 32 Years for First Degree Murder
SHASTA COUNTY, California – A man was sentenced to 32 years in life after being convicted of first degree murder on Monday, the Shasta district prosecutor said.
Frank Alexander Berry was sentenced to prison for the murder of Anna Coker in 2018.
The place of sentencing has been moved for additional seats as Coker’s family have made statements about the impact on their lives after his death.

Berry was believed to have killed Coker, who was his girlfriend at the time and who burned his body in the Lassen National Forest.
“The beautiful light shown by Anna Coker is now blocked from the lives of my children by the shadow of the iniquity of this author,” said Eric Coker, Anna’s son. “The absence of my mother’s presence in their lives is the most heinous consequence of the calculated actions of this condemned man.
“My mother taught me to love. She taught me how to live life to the fullest (and more), ”said Anna’s son Christopher Lee Coker. “My mother taught me to love.
