Students graduate from Ouachita Baptist University | Colleges and Universities

Ouachita Baptist University celebrated 364 graduates of the 2021 class at its 134th launch ceremony on Saturday, May 8.

University officials have awarded Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education, and Associate of Arts degrees, with seven students receiving all Ouachita’s first post-baccalaureate certificate for an internship in dietetics.

Recognized graduates included 188 honorary graduates, including 47 summa cum laude graduates with a GPA of 3.95 or above, and 25 graduates with a 4.0 GPA; 76 magna cum laude graduates (3.75 GPA); and 65 graduates with distinction (3.5 GPA). University officials also recognized a record 53 graduates who completed Ouachita’s Carl Goodson Distinction Program.

Graduates from the Magnolia region:

Camden – Mason Holder graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Intermediate Education; Madeline Knight graduated summa cum laude in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Community and Family Services.

Junction City – KeAndre Evans graduated in December 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Recreation / Fitness.

Magnolia – Gracen Seabaugh graduated summa cum laude in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education; Madison Williamson graduated summa cum laude in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science and Disorders.

Prescott – Beth Formby-Bruce graduated in May 2021 with a post-baccalaureate certificate in dietetics internship; Cade Haynie graduated summa cum laude in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences; JaCoya Hodges graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Physics; Katie Tyree graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in English.

Smackover – Courtney Davis graduated magna cum laude in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in English; Charissa Newton graduated in December 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media / Multimedia Journalism; Tessa Watson graduated with honors in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology.

Waldo – Samantha Pipkin graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media / Multimedia Journalism.
