Calling All Aggies: Texas A&M University is seeking 5,000 football fanatics dressed in brown for a re-enactment of Midnight Yell Practice that will be filmed for a national football commercial. The ad will air during fall games, Texas A&M Today reported.
The college has launched an open casting, inviting its most enthusiastic fans to come to Kyle Field on Friday, July 30 at 7 p.m.
“No other university can draw thousands of fans at midnight before Gameday like Texas A&M has done for nearly a century,” Shane Hinckley, vice president of brand development at Texas A&M, said in a statement. . âIt is one of our most powerful and unique traditions. The northeast entrance to Kyle Field will open at 7 p.m. Filming will begin at sunset and could last several hours.
The first 1,000 fans through the door will receive a free special edition Texas A&M t-shirt. The university has also promised all of its attendees free food and refreshments, though it encourages fans to bring unopened bottled water and snacks.
The university asks participants to wear Aggie clothing or school colors. Clothing should not have obscene content or large logos unrelated to the university.
Participants must be 18 years of age or older, otherwise they must come with a parent or guardian.
