DETROIT – Our period of magnificent weather continues as high pressure remains stationed just over the Great Lakes region. This means another generally clear night, with lows near 50 degrees (10 degrees Celsius) in our urban heat island closer to Detroit, as rural areas drop again in the 1940s (6 to 9 degrees Celsius). with a calm air.
Tonight’s sunset is at 7:18 p.m. and Thursday’s sunrise is at 7:30 a.m.
Thursday marks yet another spectacular day as we wind down September. Lots of sun will adorn our skies, with highs hitting low 70s (22 degrees Celsius) again, except near the shore of Lake Huron where you can stand in the low to mid-60s (17-18 degrees Celsius) as we are going to have a light north-easterly wind.
A mostly clear sky Thursday night means another great night stargazing night. Decrease again to nearly 50 degrees (10 degrees Celsius) in urban areas and in the 1940s (6 to 9 degrees Celsius) in suburban and rural areas.

Usually sunny on Fridays as we welcome October. Highs in the 1970s (22 degrees Celsius) but cooler near Lake Huron.
The good weather continued in our high school football games on Friday night with mostly clear skies for a while followed by a few tall thin clouds.
Weekend update
I think we will start our Saturday partly cloudy, but the clouds will increase and thicken. The rain is expected to stop until evening for the most part, possibly reaching areas west of US-23 by late afternoon. Peaks in the mid-1970s (23-24 degrees Celsius) are achievable as long as we get at least partial sun in the morning. If you have any yard work you want to do, or maybe thinking about a fall round of golf, do it on Saturday because Mother Nature won’t be as cooperative on Sunday. On the other hand, if you need to sow grass seeds, it might be a good idea to bring them out on Saturday.

While some details still need to be worked out, the chance of rain increases dramatically on Sunday, with highs approaching 70 degrees (21 degrees Celsius).
