Woman found shot dead in field near Flint Park, police say
FLINT, MI – Police in Flint are investigating the second homicide on Boxing Day.
At around 10:58 a.m. on Saturday, December 26, police responded in Hasselbring Park near Sally Court to a report of an unconscious woman in a field. They arrived to find Naomi Anthony, 25, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Anthony suffered at least one gunshot wound, police said.
Police have no suspicious information as of 2:40 p.m. Saturday.
Earlier today, at around 12:24 a.m., police responded to a reported shooting in the 600 block of West Pulaski Avenue. They arrived to find Curdetruis Keaton-Williams, 23, outside the residence, deceased from at least one gunshot wound.
The owner of the house, who police said shot Keaton-Williams, introduced himself to officers upon their arrival. He was held in the Genesee County Jail pending review by the Genesee County District Attorney’s Office.
